Just a reminder that for today's full card selections & analysis for Belmont Park, merely go back one page.

I'd like to leave this bit of info here for y'all. When we're using the DRF Formulator platform while writing our columns, if we say "Sprints", for the most part we mean any one turn race, and when we say "Routes", we mean any TWO turn race. ( For example, we consider a 1 1/8th mile race at Belmont an elongated sprint, and a 6 1/2 furlong race at a Charles Town a route. ) We feel this way, because in our eyes, it's the number of turns that necessitate more energy than being relaxed on a straightaway. Sometimes the sample size for our study can be too large to manually break down, so there may be a few from one category in another, but usually the end result is pretty much the same. Additionally, when it comes to layoffs, we consider more than 50 days in a dirt to dirt scenario a layoff, more than 58 days in D to T or T to D a layoff, and more than 67 days in a turf to turf deal a L/O.

Graded Stakes - 9/19 - Woodbine - Natalma & Summer

 Race 8

1.Pizza Bianca

2.Ready Lady

3.Diabolic ( Ire )

#2 PIZZA BIANCA ( out of White Hot...you get it ? ) went from zero to hero when closing with a flourish to pick up the sheepskin at first asking in Toga Town on July 22nd, and did such on an extremely deep track as well. From a DRF Formulator standpoint, C-Squared is a tight 3 for 4 with one turn turf runners without Lasix who broke their maiden 51-67 days back, with healthy mutuels of $4, $19 & $18. #1 READY LADY is another who scored right outta the box, and did such on this oval with a snappy time. There's a bullet on the docket since, and the pedigree says there's ample room for improvement. #7 DIABOLIC (IRE) shoots for the grand salami today, and given the versatility shown with wins on three different ovals, we'd say it's well within reach.  OFF TURF: 4-10-1-9-6

       Race 9

1.Albahr ( GB )

2.Ready for the Lady

3.Degree of Risk

#4 ALBAHR (GB) comes in today on a three race winning streak, and Applebee ( clicking at 35% in the States ( is 4:3-1-0 with turfers who scored less than 60 days back and are not receiving Lasix. Gelding has never gotten in this lightly, and possesses the ability to send or rate just a bit. #9 READY FOR THE LADY is a maiden facing winners for the first time, but that doesn't really matter too much in this sorta race, and was a lively & well clear runner up first time out. Both of the maternal grandparents were turf specialists who banked more than $1.5M & $370K respectively on the stuff, so we're thinking this one will handle the surface transition nicely. #6 DEGREE OF RISK outran his 9-1 offering when going over the blades for the first time about a month back, and the lone returnee from that affair got the job done nest out, improving by approximately 25.1% in the Beyer department.  OFF TURF: 7-1-8-6-3
